Melinda Haws, MD

Dr. Melinda Haws, the sitting president of the Aesthetic Society, is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

After obtaining her medical degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 1991, Dr. Haws crossed paths with her future partner, Dr. Mary Gingrass. She completed a comprehensive six-year combined residency in general surgery and plastic surgery at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois. Following this, she pursued a six-month breast and aesthetic fellowship with Nashville Plastic Surgery, ultimately leading her to Nashville.

Dr. Haws briefly served as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Nevada School of Medicine before returning to Nashville in 2002 to establish The Plastic Surgery Center of Nashville alongside her best friend, Dr. Mary Gingrass.

Dr. Melinda Haws, a distinguished medical professional, possesses medical staff privileges at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital. Additionally, she performs most surgeries at the esteemed St. Thomas Midtown Surgicare Outpatient Surgery facility. With a compassionate approach, Dr. Haws specializes in assisting women in reclaiming their pre-pregnancy or post-weight loss bodies, emphasizing breast enhancement and body contouring. She adeptly addresses concerns associated with the effects of aging on both the face and body, as well as hereditary figure-related issues.
