Elizabeth Hale, MD

Dr. Elizabeth Hale is a highly respected board-certified dermatologist recognized for her expertise in Mohs micrographic surgery, cosmetic dermatology, and laser surgery. As a Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at NYU Langone Medical Center, she plays an integral role in shaping the future of dermatology by teaching advanced dermatologic surgery to NYU dermatology residents.

With an impressive academic background, Dr. Hale graduated cum laude from Cornell University and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. She earned her medical degree from NYU, receiving prestigious accolades, including the American Medical Women's Association Citation and the Marion Sulzberger Dermatology Award. During her tenure as chief resident at NYU's Department of Dermatology, she was honored with the Morris Leider Award for Excellence in Dermatology.

Recognized for her teaching excellence, Dr. Hale has received the Surgical Attending of the Year Award from NYU dermatology residents and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society teaching award. She co-directed NYU's Procedural Dermatology Fellowship program and the annual Advances in Dermatology symposium for eight years. Dr. Hale has contributed extensively to dermatology literature, co-authoring the Handbook of Dermatologic Surgery, a renowned training resource for dermatology residents nationwide, alongside her sister, Dr. Julie Karen, and mentor, Dr. Perry Robins.

Dr. Hale is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, further showcasing her commitment to upholding the highest standards in dermatology. In addition to her clinical and academic achievements, she serves as the Vice President of the Skin Cancer Foundation, demonstrating her dedication to raising awareness and promoting skin cancer prevention and treatment.

She has also been featured in "New York Super Doctors" and is widely respected among her peers.
